Location - Midlands commutable from Birmingham, Warwick, Coventry, Stratford upon Avon

£29,301 - £38,183 - + Pension scheme, 30 days holiday plus Christmas closure

36.5 hours (Mon-Fri)

Are you an experienced Engineer with academic or industry experience of battery scale up and electrochemical testing? Are you looking for an exciting opportunity within Europe's leading battery research facility?
This is a post within a rapidly expanding and world renowned Research and development department at a leading University. Due to continued growth my client is looking for a Project Engineer with experience of electrochemical testing.
The project will be focussed on helping to deliver a project involving new battery technologies and their testing at the large cell and module size, assisting partners in the scale-up of technology to large pouch cell.
The successful candidate will be from a background in electrochemical technology, with experience of lithium ion battery technologies being an advantage. As well as some experience of planning and running scientific experiments. This is a fantastic opportunity for any Project Engineer to join a renowned research and development centre that offers the chance to work on prestigious and exciting projects.
The role:
*Working within a research and development department in a leading university
*Actively involved with hands on making pouch cells and coin cells for evaluation of different Lithium-Ion or other chemistries.
*Assisting partners in scale up of technology to large pouch cell and optimisation of their production processes.

The Candidate:
*Honours degree in chemistry, engineering, or relevant industry experience
*Experience of testing electrochemical devices or hands on manufacturing of battery cells
*Experience of planning and running scientific experiments
