We encourage our residents to stay active and the results in terms of healthcare are impressive. Our Fitness Instructor will play a key role in this process, taking responsibility for our brand new state-of-the-art gym and supporting residents of all levels of fitness or frailty to enjoy the health benefits of exercise. You will ensure a high standard of cleanliness, maintenance and safety within the Gym at all times and encourage a friendly and professional atmosphere and ensure that all users are properly guided and supervised at all times.

You will be able to Instruct and promote personal inductions, fitness and nutrition and be involved in running courses and fitness classes suitable for all users of the gym. Motivation and encouragement of individuals of all ages and abilities are key.

To succeed you’ll have at least an QCF Diploma Level 2 or equivalent fitness qualification and will be a motivator who can inspire others, whether that’s to take a 5 mile hike or regain mobility following a stroke.

Founded in 1988, ExtraCare is a registered charity based in Coventry. It operates 3,848 homes within 14 retirement villages and 17 smaller housing schemes. Each village or scheme has 5 to 18 social, health and leisure facilities that are accessible to more than 4,400 residents 3,000 volunteers and local people representing all age groups living in surrounding communities. ExtraCare’s 60 Charity Shops help fund care and well-being services for older people living in its villages and schemes.
