An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client for a Buying Assistant to join the team based in Evesham, Worcestershire. You will be on a full time permanent basis and receive a competitive salary plus excellent benefits.

They are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Buying Assistant to join their Buying and Merchandising department. You will be assisting the Product Manager in maximising the long term profitability of the category, whilst achieving annual budgeted sales, gross margin, terms and supplier income.
Your hours of work will be 37.5 per week Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities of their Buying Assistant
As their Buying Assistant you will play a key role in establishing and developing relationships internally with stores and other departments, as well as externally with suppliers. You will be supporting key buying processes including range reviews, promotional planning and competitor analysis.
Skills needed to become their Buying Assistant
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to make decisions within given parameters
- Competent IT skills
- Accurate data entry
- Experience with Microsoft packages
- Experience of working within a Buying team, and empathy with the rural community is preferable but not essential
