Supervising Social Worker – Manchester - Fixed Term

This position is a full time permanent post.

This IFA has a regional presence across the UK and has a very established network with relevant authorities. They genuinely focus on the quality of the care and support delivered to their foster families and encourage a creative approach. The role very much focuses on developing and nurturing the relationship with foster carers and the child. They are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced fostering social worker to join their stable team in Midlands Region. You will be supporting carers across these regions and ideally will live in the Warwickshire/Leicestershire region

Duties Include:

  • Monthly visits to foster carers
  • To offer support and supervision to foster carers
  • To sustain the child in placement and ensure that the five outcomes for children are being met within the foster family
  • To develop and maintain positive working relationships between all the professionals around the child
  • Attending LAC reviews
  • Monitoring and safeguarding the young person at all times

    This role carries a competitive salary and car allowance.

    You will be an HCPC registered qualified social worker and hold a driving licence. You will have had previous post qualifying experience working in a fostering team.
