For this Teaching Assisant role you must be a hardworking and reliable English graduate who has worked with children in either a volunteer or paid role and at least received a 2:1 in your degree. You will have the drive to demonstrate a desire to begin a successful career in education through hard work and determination. The school wants graduates who can prove their desire to become a teacher through consistently motivating pupils. The successful candidate will have the social skills to quickly build and maintain strong relationships with an all their pupils and the rest of the staff.
In your role as a Teaching Assistant, you will be working solely within the school’s English department helping support pupils on the C-D borderlines, mid-range and the talented & gifted. You will be required to embrace the school’s ethos, learn from the staff around you, and utilise your own initiative to provide excellent classroom support and aid in the development of those pupils you support.
Located within the LEA of Walsall, this school have recruited many Graduate Teaching Assistants in the past who have gone on to become excellent teachers. They are looking to take on two Graduate Teaching Assistants to join them from January on a long term, full time (during term time) basis in English.
