For this Teaching Assistant post, you must be an enthusiastic Chemistry graduate who has an impressive academic record and a 2:1 or better in your degree and already spent time in a role where you worked closely with children. The successful candidate will have the aim of become a future star of teaching and a talent for working with young people . You must show the ability to create an encouraging, productive atmosphere and build bonds with both students and fellow members of staff.

As a Science Teaching Assistant you will be supporting pupils either individually, in small groups or as a class. You will work closely with the class teacher and Head of Year to take responsibility for Science intervention programmes, having your own small groups of students outside of the classroom. This school has a system where each of their TAs and LSAs are assigned a talented mentor, in this case your will by supported by an experienced and highly thought after SENCO.
