Solicitor with Adult Social Care experience required to join a local authority in the West Midlands.

Your new company
Hays are currently working in partnership with a well-established, leading local authority which helps to improve people's lives by providing excellent service every day. Due to the organisation's constant development and expansion, an excellent opportunity has arisen for an Adult Social Care solicitor with public sector background.

Your new role
You will be expected to manage your own casework with minimal supervision and provide your specialist advice on various areas of local authority matters such as adult social care, safeguarding and education. Moreover, you will support your colleagues and council officers at all levels, including advocacy, training and complex document drafting and review. You'll also attend council, cabinet and committee meetings.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you will be a UK qualified Solicitor or Barrister, ideally with experience of working within the public sector environment. You will have a good working knowledge of local government procedures and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will also be able to manage your own workload, supervise others and provide training to your colleagues.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a generous remuneration package, flexible working hours and excellent work-life balance.
