This Physics Teaching Assistant position involves spending all of your working day within the school's successful Science Department. As a Physics Teaching Assistant you will be supporting the increasingly popular Science Department and working to develop your abilities with the help of the school's training and CPD plan. You will assist the teacher by helping plan lessons and ensuring the necessary class resources are available to use in class. Day-to-day, you will be working in a supportive culture enabled by the highly-skilled Head of Science. You will have the responsibility of assisting the teacher with smaller 'booster' groups and intervention 1:1s where specific points can be targeted and worked upon.
This role would suit a confident and committed Science graduate who has a good understanding of how to work with children based on experience gained from a similar role and an impressive academic record with a 2:2 or better in your degree. You will possess the capacity to build excellent relationships and an unstoppable desire to teach. We want to meet graduates who can fulfil their desire to start their career in education and utilise their advanced subject knowledge. The ideal candidate will have a naturally inspiring personality and adaptable communication skills.
