ABPM as experts in financial recruitment have been appointed by a market leading Specialist IT Services business based in Birmingham to recruit a Financial Analyst. The successful individual will be a qualified accountant; you will be able to work closely with other members of the finance team to add value and insight into the general operations of the finance function in order to support the financial controller and department heads.


Your main responsibility will be to produce monthly, weekly and ad hoc reports via analysis of a variety of data sources which will feed into the Financial Controller directly. As well as being able to identify current and past trends to analyse cause you will be responsible for monitoring and implementing KPI's across all areas of revenue. The monthly financial pack will include your input in the form of; revenue forecasting, P&L analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow. Your ability to perform detailed variance analysis will be imperative in this role.


You will need to be a qualified accountant with at least 3 years relevant experience, or have extensive experience and be QBE. Advanced Excel skills will be needed in this role, and you will need the ability to manipulate large, varying forms of data. Your ability to communicate both verbally and when written will be imperative to supporting the Financial Controller. This vacancy is the ideal opportunity for an approachable and knowledgeable qualified accountant who will become a key member of finance in this outstanding IT Services business. The individual will report to the Financial Controller and the Board with monthly accounts and reports. Furthermore they will also support other roles within the Finance team as and when required.
