You must be an energetic, highly enthusiastic English graduate who has at least received a 2:1 in your degree and some experience working with secondary aged children. The ideal individual should be able to use their free time to help their colleagues provide the students with a range of interesting extracurricular activities. The school's perfect candidate is a graduate who can inspire their pupils with a motivational attitude which ignites a love for learning in them.
As an English Teaching Assistant your role will involve you working solely within the English department with students in Key Stage 4, supporting them in class as they prepare for the GCSEs. You will assist the class teacher with the planning and preparation of lessons and get involved with 1:1 booster sessions with pupils on the C/D border line.
