Totally Recruitment are recruiting for a experienced Legal Secretary on behalf of our client based in Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal secretary to join a established family and matrimonial law firm with over 120 years’ experience. You will act as first point of contact for clients and will therefore requite good interpersonal skills and time management.

Duties Include:

  • First point of contact

  • Producing legal documents

  • Audio typing

  • Communication with Court Staff and Opposing Counsel

  • Arranging appointments and meetings

  • Preparing and sending out mail

  • Organising diaries

Essential skills:

  • Experienced Legal Secretary

  • Excellent spelling and grammar

  • Good organisation and attention to detail

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to deal with highly confidential and sensitive information

  • Typing speed of 50 wpm and upwards

    Personal attributes:

  • Proactive and logical approach

  • Ability to adapt with a mature manner to regular changing situations

  • Ability to remain calm in busy periods

  • Ability to prioritise whilst managing multiple tasks

Working hours: This is a full time permanent role. Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.30pm. Although flexibility would be an advantage.
