Service Desk Assistant
Based in West Midlands
6 Month initial contract
£12+ph based on experience
Must be available to start 1/8/2017

A new opportunity has arisen to work within a large Public Sector organisation, providing assistance on a busy service support desk as a Service Desk Assistant. This position is ideal for candidates looking to gain further experience

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Previous experience working in an ITIL environment (qualification not essential)
  • Previous service desk / 1st Line experience
  • Excellent customer service skills (experience delivering support face to face is highly desirable)
  • Strong team player

Responsibilities include:

  • Use excellent communication skills to liaise with users of all abilities across the organisation in a face to face context
  • Supporting and resolving user queries as efficiently as possible
  • Working together in a team to ensure SLA`s are adhered to
  • Escalating any queries that cannot be resolved first time
  • Utilising previous knowledge to assist with the busy work load
  • Applying prior experience to handle difficult customer complaints under a tight time scale

The successful candidate must be available to start from the beginning of August.
