Support Worker Job in Leek, Staffordshire Young people/Children with learning Disabilities and complex need
I am currently recruiting for temporary part and full time Care and Support Workers to work in a children's home in Stoke on Trent and Leek for an established provider of care and support to children and young people with Autism, ASD, Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, EBD. These opportunities are temporary to permanent for the right candidates and offer flexibility to chose your own shifts.
Ideally you will possess an NVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care or Children and Young People or be willing to work towards the level 3 qualification while in post.
You should have previous experience within the care sector, ideally within residential care for children and young people or with adults with learning disabilities or complex needs.
Further on the job support and training will be offered to all Support Workers including induction, mandatory training, restraint reduction training and further career development.
You must be flexible with working hours and available to work shifts on a rota basis including weekends and bank holidays. A driving license is desirable for this role.
You will be responsible for the day to day living skills and working with young people to maximise every day life. In this particular role you will assist with personal care, preparing food, playing and arranging activities with the young people, taking them to school and other appointments.
In return you will receive a competitive rate/salary of £8.50 to £10 per hour, Holiday pay and updated mandatory training in line with the Care certificate.
