We are recruiting for a Quality Engineer to work for a large organisation in the Wednesbury area.
Reporting to the Quality and Technical Supervisor you will inspect parts and production to ensure quality standards at met at all times. Working closely with all local teams to quote, develop tooling and efficient handling methods.
Salary £30,000 to £35,000 + performance bonus & attendance bonus, parking, pension 20 days hols + stats
Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

Quality Engineer Responsibilities:

* Review specs of all new parts
* Raise relevant instruction cars and input all info to system with 100% accuracy
* Ensure all cards are inline with TS16949
* Liaise with Quality and Operations to develop jigging, handling, identification and packaging methods
* Assist with sales and marketing and ensure quoting and feasibility procedures are met
* Complete product inspections
* Assist with the completion of internal/external 8D/5Y and the root cause analysis
* Complete and document quality audits
* Reject/put on hold products for review by QS/Manager
* Promote and utilise 5S standards for the line to improve efficiency, cleanliness and safety

* Off site visits 2 to 3 days per week - visiting customers dealing with quality issues

( company van provided for visits)
* Other duties as assigned

Experience/Qualifications:

* Ideally 2-3 years experience within a similar role
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating manuals and instructions and procedure manuals
* Ability to add/subtract/multiply/divide all units of measure using fractions and decimals
* Proficient in Word and Excel
* Experience of 5S working procedures
