Job Description

This is a full-time position responsible to support sales efforts specifically by:

(1) Managing the sales lead generation, qualification, distribution, and oversight processes and associated selling campaigns.

(2) CRM maintenance

(3) Management of quotation processes

Office Location : Birmingham

Basic working hours : 08:30- 17:15hrs / Monday- Friday

Reports to : Regional Sales Manager

Key duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead generation and pre-qualification
  • Distribute leads to Logistics Consultants
  • Lead tracking & management through SF
  • Handle and track web enquiries
  • Quote log maintenance in M/frt
  • To maximise on, and develop sales from new and existing customers through regular contact and activity
  • Gaining a clear understanding of customer’s business requirements
  • Assisting to develop key trades and services
  • Ensure that all tasks and assignments are carried out in a timely manner and to any set deadlines
  • Reviewing your own performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
  • Reviewing process and procedures and sharing best practice with colleagues
  • Obtaining rates from FCL approved suppliers
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers via telephone calls and emails; occasionally in person
  • Listening to customer requirements and presenting the appropriate solution
  • Making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations
  • Negotiating on sales and costs
  • Obtaining feedback on all quotes issued and reporting on quotes won, lost and pending
