A well regarded care provider is looking for a Residential Support Worker for a therapeutic service for young people with emotional and behavioural needs. An excellent salary is offered to the successful candidate, along with benefits and shift allowances.

The role is based in a specialist therapeutic service for young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs. The main duties of the role will be to support the young people in the home in challenging situations. You will ensure that all emotional needs are met and work closely with the children who are facing behavioural problems whilst remaining calm and professional at all times.

To be considered for the role you must have previous experience of working with young people or have made a difference to your own or other children's lives. Having the ability to be a good role model is essential along with qualities such as resilience, enthusiasm, personal boundaries and good written and verbal communication skills. A genuine interest in working with challenging young people who can exhibit difficult behaviour is essential. You must hold a full driving licence and be flexible with working patterns to suit the needs of the service. The ideal candidate will also hold the QCF Level 3 or equivalent in Children and Young People, although applications from candidates without this, but with a willingness to learn and achieve this qualification will be welcomed.
