Prospero Teaching are currently working with a lovely Primary school in South Birmingham to recruit an enthusiastic SENCo. If you have recent experience within a SENCo role and are looking for a position on a full time basis then we would like to hear from you.

This primary school based SENCo job in South Birmingham is a full time role with some teaching responsibility on a small group basis

The Ideal candidate for this SENCo job will have recent experience in helping pupils make progress and have a proven track record in effective assessment and accelerated learning for pupils that are lower ability. Ideally gained in a previous SENCo role.

Main responsibilities:

Strategic direction and development of SEN provision
Leading and managing staff
Efficient and effective deployment of staff and resources
Monitoring the quality of SEN support
Ensure that the objectives of the SEN policy are reflected in the school improvement plan
Liase with and coordinate the contribution of external agencies

You will need the following requirements to be considered for this post:

- Recent experience within a SEN role within the last two years
- PGCE in primary or degree level equivalent
- SENCO Qualification or a minimum of one year experience within a SENCO role
