Solicitor - Alcester
Due to continued expansion, we wish to appoint an experienced Solicitor (5 years PQE) who has demonstrable experience of Residential Landlord and Tenant law. The successful candidate will be based in our Midlands office (Alcester) where they will be responsible for identifying and developing income streams from an existing portfolio of clients. We anticipate the following income streams;
- Lease analysis and advice
- Service charge arrears recovery
- Ground rent arrears recovery
- Breach of covenant
- Lease Extensions
- Lease Variations
- Licences for Alterations
- Sub-letting consent
- Right to Manage
- Private Rented Sector (PRS)
The candidate should be able to demonstrate the following Key Skills and Experience:
Solicitor 5 years PQE
Excellent relationship and client handling skills, able to deal confidently and professionally with clients on day to day issues
Able to demonstrate a reasonable level of self-sufficiency, combined with an awareness of the boundaries of own competence/authority.
Able to adopt a commercial perspective rather than an 'academic’ approach to legal issues
An ability to comprehend legal and technical issues and to explain these issues clearly to clients so that the clients have a comprehensive understanding of the issue and can make an informed decision as to strategy
Change oriented with a positive, flexible approach towards the implementation of new initiatives
Have had day to day responsibility for managing a mixed workload of landlord and tenant matters
Assist in developing and maintaining key client relationships
Exercise full compliance with Integrity protocols on billing and credit control and demonstrate a high level of financial management in respect of own files.
Support marketing and business development activity within the team e.g. article writing, attending marketing events and client training
Build an awareness of the Firm's other services.
