The Digital and Content Marketing Executive is responsible for supporting, developing, implementing, tracking and optimising digital marketing campaigns across the Trustmarque digital channels. This includes updating content across alongside; SEO, social, email and conversion optimisation.

The Digital and Content Marketing Executive will work within the marketing department and be able to call upon the full spectrum of marketing skills, be able to identify the appropriate tools and optimum media mix to be employed, and be able to utilise an innovative range of tactics and strategies in the delivery of said marketing activity from customer consideration to purchase.

The role reports in to the Head of Marketing and can be based in Coventry or York.


Digital and Social

  • To create and manage the schedule of social media activity to support campaigns, events and other relevant marketing activity.

  • Working with the marketing team, help with planning and implementation of: content, SEO, marketing database, email, video and social media campaigns

  • To use appropriate social media channels to promote core product and services to existing and prospective customers, whilst strengthening the company's brand/market positioning as an industry thought leader and customer-first consultant.

  • To promote and demonstrate best practice disciplines to all internal stakeholders in relation to usage of social media platforms and with full adherence to the company's HR and IS policies for same.

  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)

  • Creating and updating content for through the content management system [wordpress], utilising SEO techniques to optimise content and enhance search engine rankings.

  • Create digital campaigns in support of Trustmarque's brand, product propositions and vendor products, optimising user experience across all

  • Carrying out keyword research and onsite SEO to increase web presence, visibility and increase engagement across all digital channels

  • Grow new leads, including marketing-qualified leads, by effective digital strategy that converts site traffic through calls-to-action, landing pages, and lead generation content

  • Optimise our marketing automation and lead nurturing process through email, content, digital and social channels

  • Review technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing

Content, Editing & Journalism

  • To create content in support of the company's programme of offline print and online media, including customer case studies and testimonials through directly interviewing customers in person or over the phone.

  • Create blog content to support customer engagement with the Trustmarque brand and the product and service portfolio

  • Create new and engaging content for communications promoting Trustmarque in to the wider Capita ITS Group

  • Re-write existing content for use across new and existing channels as appropriate within campaign and brand promotions

  • To utilise robust proofreading or checking processes in the review of all internal (generic editorial) or external (vendor-authored editorial) prior to submission to production houses or publishers.

  • To input, assist with and potentially manage video content for online publication.


The Marketing team is a critical part of the business and the candidate must be able to cope in a fast-paced, constantly-evolving and dynamic working environment. The individual performing this role must be able to demonstrate:


  • Previous experience in digital marketing

  • The ability to manage and write well worded and stimulating copy for website, articles and blogs

  • Experience of working with Content Management Systems - ideally Wordpress

  • Experience managing SEO, Email and Social Media programmes

  • Experience of working with range of social media platforms (Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube etc), blogs and scheduling tools such as Hootsuite

  • Knowledge of Google analytics (or another analytics package)

  • The ability to analyse data accurately, track ROI and campaign or activity performance;

  • An understanding of customer journey and conversion funnel

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure
