We are currently recruiting for an exciting new role within our Drain Project Office in Basildon. This role will be to support the Project Office Manager to raise quotes, tenders, track projects and offer quotation and estimating support to our Drain Customers.

Role Purpose:

To be a single point of contact for Customers, Branches, Key Account Managers and Suppliers in raising, tracking and managing large project quotations and to provide technical support. Proactively sourcing industry leads and tracking projects through a transparent CRM platform which builds a pipeline of work for the Drain specialist brand that allows for incremental sales growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Track all Industry leads, and ensure they are followed through so that all opportunities for the Drain specialist brand are pursued and exploited, communicating with and involving the External Sales teams and the Projects Office team
  • Ensure that all data in project tracking, lead management, quotations and CRM systems is kept live and relevant
  • To liaise directly with the External Sales team, Suppliers and Branch Managers
  • Proactively research and develop any projects for which there may be opportunities for Drain
  • Identify critical stages within projects and communicate with External Sales teams and the Projects Office team where appropriate to ensure that specifications and orders are won
  • Drive sales generation through Key Account / Estimating function
  • Prepare, administer and deliver tender documents and packages for approved customers
  • To provide an Estimating support function for the Projects Office and External Sales Team by raising and tracking large project quotations
  • Administer correct pricing, contract support and demand planning
  • To present the quotation to the customer in a professional way and within the deadlines
  • Liaising with key suppliers to keep up to date with current product ranges
  • Record and monitor the opportunity, value, and conversion rate of specified projects
  • Maximise the value of transactions through the use of contract support , preferred suppliers, add on sales and 'asking for the businesses

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Self-motivated and performance driven
  • Experience in tendering process (preferable)
  • Drain or Plumbing product knowledge highly desirable
  • Experience of managing and influencing complex sales processes
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Organised and able to prioritise under pressure
  • Skilled in relationship building both internally and externally
