IS 1st Level Support Officer - 12 months maternity cover

Housing & Care 21 Head Office, Birmingham, B16 8TP

Full-time 35 hours per week

Up to £23,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for an IS 1st Level Support Officer to provide ongoing support on all systems used by Housing & Care 21 (both business and desktop systems) to all levels of users throughout the business. This is a 12 months maternity cover.

The successful individual will meet the following requirements:

  • 1st Level IS Support experience

  • Experience of learning and effectively using central business systems

  • Experience of dealing with problems over the telephone

  • ITIL V3 Foundation

  • 5 GCEs (A-C)/GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English

  • Involvement in Central Business Systems (desirable)

  • Computing qualifications, e.g. GCEs/GCSEs, A Levels, BTEC ONC, BTEC HNC or equivalent (desirable)

  • A good knowledge of Citrix from a Service Desk perspective including trouble shooting user problems and shadowing users to provide support

  • A good understanding of Incident Management as defined under ITIL Version 3.0

  • Broad understanding of user hardware including but not limited to thin clients, laptops, tablets and mobile phones/PDA.

  • Advanced level for Desktop applications

    Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will adhere to a department-wide on-call rota system.
