Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £8.54 - £10.00 per hour. Travel time is paid! Mileage also paid. Work available for quick start.

Part time considered, full-time would ideally include 2 evenings per week and every other weekend! Flexible working - but plenty of hours!

Experience preferred but not essential, we are looking for the right character, but you must have an awareness of how Home Care is given.


You will be authorised to work in the UK & speak English.

You will have a clean Enhanced DBS check

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

Assisting clients with the following;

Personal Care

  • Getting out of bed
  • Washing / bathing / showering/toileting
  • Getting dressed / undressed
  • Managing continence
  • Skin and hair care
  • Prompting to take medication
  • Going to bed

Domestic Support

  • Making / changing the bed
  • Laundry / ironing
  • Washing up
  • Cleaning toilet / bathroom
  • General housework
  • Shopping
  • Monitoring and maintaining safe environmental temperatures
  • One off cleaning tasks ( e.g. Spring Cleaning )

Social Care

  • Assisting with maintaining social contact
  • Assisted shopping trips
  • Assisting in making appointments
  • Assisting with attending clubs / day care centers
  • Assisting with attending medical appointments
  • Accompanying clients on day trips and holidays

Nutritional Care

  • Menu planning
  • Managing food hygiene
  • Assistance with nutrition in conjunction with dietician
  • Preparation of meals and drinks
  • Monitoring diet and fluid consumption

Administrative / Regulatory Care

  • Provide advice and supportive information
  • Risk / health and safety assessments
  • Quality assurance visits, telephone calls and questionnaires
  • Regular communication with the office
  • Reviews of person centered plan
  • Liaison with other agencies (Doctors, physiotherapists etc)

Financial Care and Correspondence

  • Assistance with budget planning
  • Assistance with correspondence
  • Collection of pension / benefits
  • Assistance with use of telephone
  • Assistance with paying bills

Although comprehensive, this list details services that can be provided, and is not exhaustive. A full assessment of the client’s needs will be undertaken prior to the service commencing and a Person Centered Plan devised with the customer or their representative, to ensure that the service is tailored to enable the service, where ever possible meets the individual client’s needs.

Preferred experience:

  • Dom Care: 1 year

Required language:

  • English fluently, to the extent a vulnerable person could understand you

Required licence or certification:

  • Driving License and own car almost certainly required
