I am currently looking for a Materials Analyst to join a large automotive tier 1 supplier based in Redditch.

• Ensure 100% availability of material
• Ensure minimal cost of transportation
• Balance material availability, inventory turns and freight
• Ensure data accuracy (stocks, bill of material and planning figures)
• Avoid obsolete material

• Ensure on-time deliveries of customer orders and on-time materials procurement through supply chain management
• Inventory control and management, optimizing of inventories
• Analyze customer forecast for demand variation/ recovery
• Forecasting for planning capacities and materials
• Check/ Maintain basic BOM and other Parameters in Materials System (BPCs/ DRP) in case of product changes, new product launches and run-outs
• Fit all requirements of customers, supplier and internal customers
• Document all premium inbound and outbound shipments and set up action plans to root cause and countermeasure premium spend
• Responsible for regular housekeeping actions in own work area and additionally in other temporary areas of work
• Involvement in identifying and implementing continuous improvement activities
• Any other duties as and when necessary to meet the varying demands of the business and satisfy the customer's needs.
• Ability to create/ support Layout creation and Warehouse improvements for a Lean flow
• Monitor supply chain performance and work with suppliers to ensure improvements are made.
• Aptitude to analyze data with accuracy

• Preferably a logistics qualification but not essential
• Minimum 1 year working within a materials controller/ analyst, supply chain, inventory management function
• Good competency level in Microsoft EXCEL is a must
• Ability to cooperate with people of different levels inside/ outside the company and to interact with team to reach team goals and business objectives
• Ability to empower others to achieve results through motivation, recognition and performance feedback
• Ability to express information in a manner appropriate to different levels/ of people & to communicate effectively with other countries
• Ability to recognize, respond to customer expectations with sense of urgency and even increase expectations
• Ability to take actions, decisions & to generate ideas, products, processes in promised timely manner; involvement in designs or other work requiring creative imagination
• Ability to take full responsibility for decisions & results even when all elements are not under individual direct control

• Follow all Health and Safety and Environmental requirements that are defined on work instructions or communicated in training
• Follow required prevention and operational controls
• Report all accidents, occupational illnesses and emergencies
• Apply, execute and maintain function related to Logistics Corporate standards
• In addition to the above mentioned tasks other activities and responsibilities may be individually defined
• Ability to identify and eliminate health, safety, ergonomic and environmental hazards in workplace
